Morpho butterflies in the wind garden

Papillons Morpho au Jardin du vent de Notre Dame de MontsMorpho butterfly dance

At the wind garden of Notre Dame de Monts are installed for six months the Morpho Butterflies.
Butterflies are linked in pairs suspended as mobiles in a subtle balance to a blade of giant grass. Animated by the currents of the wind, they rock towards each other in an incessant parade.

Mobile and Volubile

Mobiles for a festival that moves
Mobile et Volubile

It is on the theme of the mobile that the festival A Tout Vent of the city of Notre Dame de Monts celebrated its fifteenth birthday.
On the beach, the presence of the creations of Maurizio Cenci of the Italian association Vulandra (www.vulandra.it) with its extraordinary flying sculptures have brought an inventive, surprising, even humorous dimension to the festival.
The finesse and poetry of the kites of Daniela Zitzman charmed the public walking on the beach. René Maier once again bewitched the whole of visitors with his installations of beating hearts to the ripples of the wind.
The Sentinels of Ramlal Tien also embellished the sky, covering the central space of the festival. Anna Rubin was also present and had her majestic paper and bamboo creations stolen.
There was also this year Jean Paul Richon, who made the sky on the north side of his arches and his deltas Conynes so special, with hundreds of metallic ribbons playing with the rays of the sun. Great!
On the south flight zone, Derek Khun stretched his immense banners in the sky accompanying the entire R-Sky team, which put its energy in the flight of its giant octopuses.
Not to mention the many kite-flyers, coming from near and far, to decorate the sky by the diversity of their creations, to present their ballet alone or as a team, and simply to share moments of conviviality.

Inspired by the theme of mobile, I realized a new installation using my Morpho Butterflies created 17 years ago. Mounted 2 by 2 on a scale suspended from a fishing rod, each couple of butterfly performed a poetic dance similar to the parade of the lepidoptera in the time of the loves.

Mobile Oblique and Bancal

This edition was again the occasion for new spectacular experiences. The Transe Express Company(www.transe-express.com) moved to the festival for his MOB show “Mobile Oblique et Bancal”.
If the combination of this human spectacle with that of the kites was delicate for obvious security reasons, the interest of associating the street arts with the arts of the sky is that more certain. I am therefore happy to have participated as artistic coordinator and to have decorated my crippling festival of my Poppies, in perpetual movement.

I would like to thank the entire Notre Dame de Monts team, all the volunteers, all the kite-fanatics and enthusiasts who came, especially David and Pierrot for their confidence.

deKompresso, an exceptional installation.

The poetic universe of four artists and their flying sculptures in the sky of Penvins Kite.

The Poppies in Vaux-le-Vicomte

An Auxiliary Hospital.

Here is the video clip of the Bouquet of 19 Coquelicots Suspendus installed in the French Garden of the castle of Vaux-le-Vicomte. This bouquet symbolizes the soldiers who fell during the Great War of 1914-1918. It was a great pleasure to participate in this special event. The castle was transformed into an auxiliary hospital during this conflict.

This clip is produced by Pauline Garraud of Hybride Diffusion. The aerial images are from Pablo Sotes. The music is composed by Raphael Garraud.

Perspectives

A garden of perspectives

16 Days of immersion in the perspectives of the French Garden of Le Nôtre, at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. I realized an installation of the Bouquet of 19 Poppies Suspendus. Here are the first screenshots of the video clip. This clip is currently being edited and directed by Pauline Garraud, with original music composed by Raphaël Garraud.

The paintings of the senses

Les Toiles des Sens in the wind garden

Creation of a dynamic structure which, by its presence in the very heart of the Wind Garden of Notre Dame de Monts in the Vendée, transforms a space and a moment.
In the innovative use of new technologies combined with art craftsmanship, I aim to inspire with a lightness in form, beauty of structure, and grace in movement.
The strategic position of this sculpture invites visitors to materialize the displacements of the air through the movements of a supple and light material.
The Lycra, a fabric with exceptional properties, makes this architecture of the air alive. It allows pure and light shapes to deform with the wind, while keeping the memory of the initial shape.
Under the velum at the center of the garden, an open, marine-inspired installation aims to create contact with the force of the
wind by transfer with sails exposed to the four winds. In aesthetics games and learning.

Wind Garden “Les Toiles des sens”

Notre-Dame-de-Monts, Garden of the Wind

At the foot of a curious mill with its sails, lies an original garden that offers an artistic, amusing and instructive walk. This year, a new monumental and very original work is presented from April 23 to September 30, 2012.

Great premiere: The Kulmino water tower

A first at the Kulmino

Great first “world” the Kulmino water tower will be decorated with three large 50-meter-long banners. This exploit is the creation of ALAIN MICQUIAUX associated with MICHEL BOUCARD, child of the country.
Kulmino, the spectacular viewpoint at Notre Dame de Monts

Born of an association between ALAIN MICQUIAUX and EOLIA CONCEPT, the project “the sails of the kulmino” was realized in 3 months only, in the spirit of the organization of the festival A Tout Vent and at the request of the community of municipalities Océan-Marais de Monts. For the inauguration of the Festival, on July 2, 2010, we imagined and realized this installation visible for miles.

This installation is a tribute to the elements.
The AIR, in its freedom, gives life to the sails and draws attention to the building that contains WATER. The most valuable resource.
