The Bouquet of Poppies
The Poppies, symbol of Morpheus.
The movements of the Bouquet of Poppies are animated by the wind that carries them.
This bucolic installation arouses the curiosities and the wonder.
Poppies are the symbol of Morpheus, mythological god of dreams. Source of inspiration of many artists, in the language of the flowers they incarnate in particular the fragile ardor as well as the consolation. They have been associated with the XX century, especially in the Commonwealth countries, to the memory of fallen combatants.
The installation
Each Poppy is an independent kite that needs to be positioned and stabilized. It’s a performance that requires patience and special attention. Flight possibilities are therefore limited to the quality and strength of the wind.
